Emphasis on Safety
We will focus our objectives around safety, believing it to be the guiding principle in all our undertakings. With safety as a focus and a primary objective, we believe that success in the marketplace will follow naturally.
The emphasis on safety will not be confined to just one facet of the business and services provided. It will occur in four areas:
- Employee Safety: First and foremost, we will hire employees who are careful and conscientious and train them to be extremely safe. The demolition and construction industries can be very hazardous, and therefore it is critically important that the employees exercise caution, know how to use the equipment effectively and correctly, and are intelligent in doing work.
- Customer Safety: Many times, we will be working side-by-side with our customers, and therefore it is important to look out for their safety while the job is being conducted. Additionally, when we hand over a final product or service to our customers, we will ensure that the final product is completely safe for use.
- Machine Safety: The demolition industry is very capital intensive. The correct use of machines is crucial to ensure that employees are safe from harm and that the machines are safe from harm. We will be making huge investments in the latest technology, and with that huge investment comes a tremendous responsibility to maintain the equipment. This involves daily, weekly, monthly and other periodic maintenance as well as the proper mechanical operation of the equipment. We will develop operator manuals, which will detail all the latest techniques for the machines and will train our employees rigorously and continuously in the use of the machines. Haphazard and lazy use of equipment will never be tolerated.
- Environmental Safety: In demolition projects, there is a substantial amount of waste. We will minimize waste, thereby reducing costs and protecting the environment. We will look at all feasible avenues for reusing and recycling the by-products of site demolition. This includes but is not limited to concrete and asphalt recycling, plastic recycling, wood reused or reselling and metal scrap.
Our employees and management are committed to:
- Providing a safe work environment to protect employees, the employees of customers and subcontractors, and the public.
- Supplying safe services for customers.
- Continuously improving the company’s safety program to reduce the risk of accidents and occupational hazards in a changing work environment.
- Encouraging employees to participate in accident prevention programs and take personal responsibility for their and their co-workers’ health and safety.
- Employing properly trained personnel and using procedures and equipment necessary to enable regulatory compliance and contribute to the high safety standards for its’ industry.
