About Us

Matthew Krug, founder and president, graduated from the Hawken School in 1993 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia in 1997. He has over 20 years of experience working in his family’s construction business. In 2001, he became co-owner and Vice President of Cuyahoga Materials Co., a concrete recycling and aggregate supply business in downtown Cleveland. In 2005, he founded Krug Demolition as a natural complement to Cuyahoga Materials Co.

Despite the lagging economy over the last five years, Krug Demolition has grown into a premier contractor in the Greater Cleveland area. The demolition work we’ve performed is even more diverse than our customer base, however, all of our customers have one thing in common….the need to have something torn out, gutted, razed, cleaned out or completely demolished efficiently and effectively the first time.

Krug Demolition differentiates itself by keeping an eye on the smallest details at every job. For example, on a house remodel, we will not damage the items that are supposed to remain in the house; the items that are valuable and sentimental such as the original hardwood floors, handcrafted trim and doors and windows. And on a complete residential, commercial or industrial structure demolition, the surrounding buildings, trees, utilities and land will not be harmed during the process. But rest assured, everything that needs to be torn out, torn down, demolished, cleaned or ripped apart will be.
